Finding a Teaching Position

The TeacherNex job search support process is designed to maximize your chances of finding a position that is the right fit for you, in the easiest, most efficient way possible

If you are selected by TeacherNex, you can expect a hiring experience similar to the process outlined below:

 

Upon enrollment in TeacherNex, you will fill out a school fit questionnaire.

Once you have submitted the questionnaire, you will be given access to detailed information about our partner schools, important job search information specific to Newark, and access to workshops and trainings designed to prepare you for the job search process and interviewing. Browse through school profiles, compare schools, and begin to put together a bank of schools you’d be interested in exploring further. 

*Please note that accepted candidates are not eligible to begin interviewing with TeacherNex partner principals until they submit either: a) a copy of their New Jersey certification in their assigned subject area; or b) passing score reports for all required PRAXIS II exams and proof that they have applied for certification in their assigned subject area.

At the same time, you can schedule individualized coaching sessions with our job search support specialists, as well as sign-up for any of our workshops designed specifically to increase your candidacy and maximize your chances of finding a teaching position here in Newark.

In addition to the support and guidance that they will be providing regarding your independent job search, our job search specialists will also work to identify vacancies and refer you to schools that may be a particularly good match for you.

Once you receive a job offer that you would like to accept, we will help you make sure all the right paperwork is in place to make it official.
